Product Description

Marinades make food taste great - but what a mess they can be. Put meat or vegetables in the container, pour over the marinade, close with top cover. Now, simply turn it over every three or four hours. Special grids on top and bottom ensure marinade flows evenly around food. Plus meat, fish and veggies stay extra fresh, even overnight. Colors vary.

Amazon.com Review

Ideal for thoroughly marinating meat, fish, and vegetables, this container ensures a marinade envelopes food and flips over for redistributing the marinade. Two features make this possible. First, the blue seal locks onto the base and prevents leaks when the container is turned over. Second, seal and base have grids of raised pyramid shapes in their bottoms, allowing a marinade to reach the underside of food. Because the seal is virtually airtight, the container can also be used for storing food and keeping it fresh or for transporting picnic fare. It measures 12-1/2 inches long, 10-1/2 inches wide, and 4-1/2 inches high. Virtually unbreakable and dishwasher-safe, Tupperware carries a lifetime warranty against chipping, cracking, breaking, and peeling. --Fred Brack

I own two of these and would recommend them to anyone who is serious about marinading. The insides of the double lids have raised 'knobs' allowing for the marinade to fully coat the food. Another great feature is that you just turn the container over to marinade on the opposite side. When done grilling, it also serves as a great container to keep food warm, serve from and even to store leftovers in the fridge. Two thumbs up!

Using the Tupperware Season-serve you can save money by buying and marinating tougher cuts of meat. The design allows the use of less marinade to still coat the large quantities the marinator holds. It's easy to use and works perfectly for what it was designed for.

I bought this when I got tired of marinating in plates, bowls and mismatched plastic ware. I liked it. Tupperware is a great product, lasts forever (If you dont believe me, look at all the wintage tupperware on auction sites) washes well and over time will eventually become cost effective.

Having said all that...sometime after buying and using it, happily...I found that marinating meats (this doesnt work as well with chicken on the bone) is much easier and space saving if i put my meat and marinade in a ziploc...get all the air out and seal it. It takes up much less room in the fridge and requires alot less turning because when you remove the air the marinade surrounds the meat (depending on the thickness) more effectively.

I would say this is a good tupperware product if you need something of this size for multiple uses..and can justify using it many times for many things. I wouldnt buy it just for use to marinade or just for storage. I think if i had to buy it again..I... Read more
