We have used it a few times to tenderize venison and it does an awesome job. We do have trouble with it staying put, despite clamping it down, it works itself loose and we have to reclamp several times. Despite that aggrevation we are happy with it. The "blades" are just points, so you aren't cutting any tissue unless you pass the meat through several times, but maybe that's a good thing. It's narrow, so you won't be able to do a wide, flat steak. This product works "OK" but it's a bit of a pain to set up, take apart, and clean. I suggest you use a paper towel to manipluate the rubber bands - much easier that way. I think we're a little better off with the tenderizing hammer and some plastic wrap. |
