I have purchased numerous products based on both magazine reviews and have never been disappointed. I tried it out first on a one inch thick round steak running the microplane in a rolling motion veretically, horizontally and at an angle on both sides. Grilled the steak to medium rare. I could not believe how tender the steak turned out. As for cleaning simple, use dish detergen and a soft bristle tooth brush. Thanks amazon.
